AFD’s 3 gun home Defense course is focused on using Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun for home defense. Students will have the option to choose their different platforms to complete courses of fire and scenarios in this training.
With this structure each student will be able to determine what gun works best for them when considering some of the following options.
- How experienced you are on different platforms?
- What kind of environment do you live in? (Close neighbors, rural, etc)
- What gun is best for inside the home and how large are your rooms and hallways, etc?
- How are your interior walls constructed and is crossfire a factor?
- How accessible are your different guns?
For this course students will need
- Rifle
- Pistol
- Shotgun
- Spare mags
- Holster for pistol
- Sling for rifle
- Ammo for each platform
- Electronic hearing protection
- Eye protection
- Normal range gear.
