Course description:
Our introductory rifle class teaches you the fundamentals of using a semi-automatic rifle. Any carbine platform is welcome in the class: AR, 9mm rifles, SKS, M-16, etc. This class will teach you the all the functions and names of the rifle parts and the proper techniques to use them. This course starts with classroom time, followed by dry fire. From there we will allow sufficient time for everyone to sight their rifles and have instructors to assist you as needed.
AFD has most accessories including slings and attachments available at discount prices.
We will have our certified AR-15 armorer on site to assist you with any modifications and installation of new equipment.
When everyone has their rifles equipped and tuned in to their satisfaction, we will commence with basic rifle courses of fire. We will advance at a comfortable progression throughout the day, ending with using the rifle in conjunction with your handgun.

AFD’s Handgun 1 or safety orientation are prerequisites for this class.
